A station. Two spaces.
hnt.fm began as Hi-Note Radio. Today, it brings independent radio and in-person arts programming together at 181 Avenue B in Alphabet City. Almost 100 hosts broadcast each month, alongside performances, installations, listening programs, and artist residencies.
The Booth and The Room.
The Booth is our street-facing radio room, home to recurring shows, interviews, and guest sets. Hosts come to broadcast, exchange music, and meet collaborators.
The Room gives hosts and invited artists a place to develop and present work in person. The two spaces share people and ideas: an interest explored on air can become a live program, and an artist encountered in The Room can become a guest or collaborator on the radio.
