Mwandishi

James Allen, better known by my stage name, Mwandishi. Born and raised in the vibrant city of St. Louis, Missouri. I now bring my eclectic beats to the legendary streets of East Village, Manhattan. My musical journey began with strings in hand as a guitarist, an experience that deeply influences my unique approach to DJing. Specializing in House, Funk, and Hip Hop, my sets are a dynamic blend of genres, reflecting both my musical roots and contemporary influences. As Mwandishi, I aim to create more than just a playlist - it's an auditory experience that takes you through a spectrum of emotions and energies.
