First and foremost, DJ DOMEWRECKA (Rodney Williams) is arguably one of the most dedicated Vinyl DJs in New York City. He has had a storied career as a DJ for the past 36 years, playing legendary venues such as The Tunnel, Club USA and Webster Hall and most recently playing venues such as public Records, Gottscheer Hall, Salinas NYC, Bierwax, Milo’s Yard and Moondog Hi-Fi. In the past, Rodney has played in store events for A-1 Records and Halcyon the Shop (the latter maintaining 20 year relationship until its closing). In the early 2000s, he was also spinning in store sets for clothing/lifestyle brands Triple 5 Soul, Diesel and Skechers.

From 1998-2000, he cohosted the OFF THE TOP Hip Hop radio show on 1240AM WGBB on Long Island. From 2009-2010, he was the first General Manager of York College/CUNY’s YCRadio.org, assisting students in creating and programming content for their own radio shows and creating their first digital music library for broadcasting. During a short period in 2018, he hosted and DJ’ed a show called Genius Level Event at MakerPark Radio on Staten Island.

From 2022-2023, he successfully curated and sold selections from his own vinyl collection at the now defunct Staten Island location of the vintage clothing store Rieval. In addition, he recycled black and white album sleeves/covers in order to create one of a kind album cover art.

Rodney’s most well known DJ residency was his near 9 year run (2013-2016, 2017-2022, 2026) DJing at the Brooklyn, SOHO and Chelsea (Chelsea Market) locations of the Artists & Fleas. The range of his sets included soul, Funk, acid Jazz, house, hip hop, latin and dancehall reggae.
