HOPESTARXX is a Jamaican-Nigerian DJ and artist from Brooklyn, NYC. Driven by her love for dance music and club culture, she began her DJ journey in September 2025 through the Your Shot DJ competition.

She has since played notable venues including Elsewhere and Pianos, and collaborated with SoFar Sounds, bringing dynamic range to sets ranging from high-energy, percussive blends to slower, melodic selections layered with hypnotic, transcendent vocals.

Rooted in her Afro-Caribbean heritage and shaped by Black club culture, her sound moves fluidly across the Black diaspora, pulling from Dancehall, Ghettotech, Jersey Club, Gqom, and more. Her curation reflects the rhythms she grew up with, weaving together sounds from the Caribbean, Africa, and the U.S. into sonic experiences that feel both instinctive and immersive.

Through her monthly show on Hi-Note Radio, Star Routes Radio, HOPESTARXX continues to explore these diasporic connections, creating space for genre-blurring sounds and moody storytelling.
